This feature combines the Liberty features that support the Jakarta EE 8.0 Platform.

If you are updating your application from using Jakarta EE 8.0 features to using Jakarta EE 9.1 features, changes in API behavior might require you to update your application code. For more information, see Differences between Jakarta EE 9.1 and 8.0.

The jakartaee-8.0 feature is functionally equivalent to the javaee-8.0 feature. For more information, see Jakarta EE Overview: Platform versions

Enabling this feature

To enable the Jakarta EE Platform 8.0 feature, add the following element declaration into your server.xml file, inside the featureManager element:

<feature>jakartaee-8.0</feature>
